NYCOM’s three-hour Village Elections Workshop offers an in-depth review of the village elections process. The workshop will address the village clerk’s duties as the chief election officer, ballot access procedures, voter registration, absentee ballot applications, ballot preparation, election inspector appointment and training, poll watchers, election day procedures, dealing with voters not on the registration list, canvassing the vote, the clerk’s post-election responsibilities, and the availability of election records.

This workshop will also address the new early mail ballot procedures.

This workshop is held in conjunction with the Long Island Village Clerks and Treasurers Association (LIVCTA) and will immediately follow the LIVCTA meeting. To register for the breakfast meeting, please contact Pamela Walsh Boening at 516-377-2254 or pboening@freeportny.gov.
